Scholarships and Awards
I am a recipient of the Anita Borg Institute Grace Hopper Conference 2017 Student Scholarship and will also be presenting my research with drones at the ACM Student Research Poster Session during the conference. This year, the amazing conference celebrating women in computing will be in Orlando, FL.
I am happy to say that I am a Google Women Techmakers Scholar!! Very exciting! I will be attending the Scholars retreat in Mountain View, CA at the Google Headquarters in June and be able to meet tons of very inspiring people!
I was awarded the CofC Career Center Internship Award in Spring 2017. This was a great program in which we would meet every other week to prepare for internship interviews, have resume reviews, and overall improved our networking skills with the goal of being offered an internship.
In March 2017, my research was accepted for the ACM/IEEE Human-Robot Interaction Conference in Vienna, Austria. The CofC Department of Computer Science was very nice to fund my trip to go present!
In the Fall of 2016, I participated in the annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Competition with two team members and we came in 2nd in our region.
In Spring 2016, I was awarded the Student Matriculation Scholarship for being in the top 75% of one of the challenging courses in CS.
